Yep, I am finally "graduating" from the cutesy look. Just kidding~ I have been into a Kpop idol lately. She is a part of the group the "Brown Eyed Girls." Her name is Ga-in. What I love the most about her is that she can wear something provocative without looking like a 4th Street hooker.
Haha, there's a 4th Street here in Vegas so don't be offended if you have an upscale one in your state. Another thing that I love about her style, is that she owns what she wears. OK DUH, of course she owns her clothing! I just mean that she wont dress according to the trends. She dresses according to her personality.
Through watching her in Korean variety shows such as "We Got Married" she always displays a fierce attitude. Although she is petite, her personality is strong, her sense of style seems to match with it too. In the photo above, she is wearing a top with an embellished shoulder. I always thought I could not pull such a thing off, due to my short stature. Ga-in has given me the courage to step out of my stylistic comfort zone and try to pick up pieces I would have never otherwise wear before.
I also have a thing for her choice in shoes. I always limited myself to flats and sandals, but Ga-in somehow made boots look so "buy worthy"! LOL, you guys may have noticed just how fangirly I am when it comes to Ga-in. I basically worship her right now. xD
She's also quite famous for her make-up. More specifically, her eyeliner. Ga-in is just one of those few female idols that has not had any surgery done to her eyelids. She has considered it in the past but has become such a powerful source of inspiration to the monolid community, she has decided she is just fine with her monolids.
Here are a couple more photos of her eyemake. These are just more elaborate forms of what she does with her eyes. Usually she'll keep it a subtle smokey eye or just wing out her eyeliner.
