Harvest Festival & Bargains!

Last Saturday my brother had a volunteering activity to do at our church in N. Las Vegas and I unfortunately had two hours to kill! I say unfortunately because the church is within two miles of a mall. d(>w<)b GYAH~ I originally planned to take a nap in the parking lot and enjoy the festival with my dear brother later but my body would not allow the car to maneuver into a parking space! So, off to the mall it was! ʘ‿ʘ The pet shop was my first stop, and I was in there for a good 20 minutes before I decided I had enough of staring into those yearning eyes of the 30 or so dogs in the kennels. ಥ_ಥ GAH~

Moving on to the real purpose of this entry~
I finally found the union jack tank that I have been searching for!

I also came across a light cardigan for $6.80!
I actually have a blue one in the same exact style,
but it was $5.80 over the summer.
PFT! Another set of similar cardis were on the same rack as
the one I bought but they were $15.80! WTF?!
The only real difference was that the expensive one was
slightly darker than the one I have on in the photo.
You can't outsmart me F21!
( ̄▽ ̄)ノ_彡☆バンバン!
(As I find more opportunities to do more style entries you
guys will see that I am very price conscious.)

WOO, I made this coordi collage in July and have obtained
two of the seven things that I wanted!
The boots were not the ones I found at Urban Outfitters though.
Those were over $100 (u_u)
Fortunately, I found a pair at H&M for about $35.00!
They are comfortable and very durable!
(IMO they don't look too faux & the only downside is they get a bit squeaky)
I don't mind if I can't obtain the shorts or the sweater,
I am way more interested in sheer tights and studded accessories!
I actually left the mall with nothing in hand and made my way back to the fesitival~
I decided that I would only get those two pieces
if my brother wanted to go to the mall. xD
(LOL, we went back and I bought them. *I hid them in a rack*)

Haha, anyways I walked around the festival for a little while and sat down in a shaded area by the "food court." The weather was in the low 70s and the atmosphere of the festival was quite peaceful. I usually hate the sound of  children playing around but the two boys at the middle picnic table were adorable! The kid in the plaid made me a bit ashamed to be Asian. He literally bullied that poor boy in the purple the entire time I was there! Mr. Plaid dragged him around by the collar saying "Asians are better than caucasians! I'm Asian, so that means I'm superior to you!" OMG, this "Asian=superior race" thing went on forever. It was like a little Asian Hitler in the making! GAH, I felt so sorry for Mr. Purple but I didn't think it was appropriate for me to parent another persons child..

Oh, how I wanted to go onto that!
I was afraid the volunteers would tell me I'm too fat to be going on it,
so I just sat and admired it for the longest time. ㅠ.ㅠ

NOM NOM, Halloween Cupcakes that bro bought for me!
I got my bestie a cupcake in the cutest Halloween packaging,
but unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to her -_-

WHOA~ It's 12:04AM?! I have school in a few hours!
Time to sleep~
See you all later!

1st and only midterm this semester.

Sorry for looking so haggard... It was pretty late when I took this..

So last night being the good student that I am, I reviewed my COM 101 notes. PFT! YEAH RIGHT! I crammed like there was no tomorrow! I spent most of my evening answering the question banks that coincided with the material that would be on the test. LO AND BEHOLD THE SAME EXACT QUESTIONS THAT I DID ON THE WEBSITE WERE ON THE EXAM! HAH!

I sped through that test like it was nothing. Though I know that I answered a few of them incorrectly because I spent more time trying to complete the question banks rather than pause to understand the material. I was laughing because all of the people who took the time to write everything they could onto their index cards(I forgot that we could use one), were the ones who struggled during the test. I was the first to finish but I sit inside of the row and couldn't get out because I was too afraid of disrupting the other students. So, I just sat there for a good 5 minutes pretending to go over my test -_-... Here are some random photos from this morning :)

Mom bought be a toffee mocha frape before we dropped her off for work!
(My dad's car just came back from the shop, he didn't want to use it yet
so mom and I were forced to share my car today :p)

These are just some random sky photos that I snapped while we were on the freeway :)
The upper levels in the I building have beautiful views of the Strip!
I couldn't help myself and took a picture from one of the hallway windows. ^^

OH! After class while I was walking to my car, rain just poured all over me! I was wearing all white ;( I even had my lolita-esque umbrella sitting in my car! It was so nice before I went to class and I figured it wouldn't rain so I left it behind. T-T HEH, fortunately I got a text message from my friend who needed the service of my umbrella and alas I was able to use it...for the first time. LOL x) Vegas weather does not call for the use of an umbrella most of the time. Even if the conniving little weather woman says so! So getting to use my umbrella for the first time here was pretty exciting. I hope everyone has a safe and entertaining weekend!

See you later~!

I've completed it!

So here it is, my very own hand-made usamimi. I am proud that I have finished this sewing project, but I can't say that I love the final result. My main issue was working with the wire. I used flower stem wire from the craft store without the use of wire tools. I guess that would have made the process easier. Now that I've completed it, I am motivated to make another one and improve~! If anyone has tips on sewing an usamimi, feel free to comment :) See you later~ ^^<333

♥USAMIMI ♥

It has been about a week or so since I had the urge to make my own usamimi. In the beginning I really thought that such a piece was just an overrated fad, but as time passed, I grew to love this style of headband! I am currently in the process of finishing my usamimi~! I am so psyched and cannot wait until I put the wires in tomorrow.
At this point I had already(obviously) cut out my
two pieces of fabric and placed lines to sew on.
I had to use a pen because all of my fabric pencils are white. -_-...
(omg... I do not like the way I formatted my url in this photo! T-TSo ugly..)
This photo represents the one side that I had finished!
I nearly forgot how to use my dang sewing machine!
I thought the bobbin thread & top thread were suppose to create a not when it came up...
Okay long story, short, the threads are suppose to be separated &
clearly I am no expert with sewing terms. T-T...

I already have the "ears" sewn, but I didn't feel like taking a picture of that portion of the process. My usamimi is currently right side out and not ironed. She is waiting very eagerly to be wired and sewn shut! kekeke. I know the fabric is ugly. I figured, if I was going to mess up, I would want it to be on some scrap fabric that I wouldn't regret using. I guess the fabric would be more appealing if it weren't that odd blue color. I love the pattern and it would definitely be better in a black or brown(lol, faux Fendi fabric!) It's late at night and I should get some sleep! See you all soon~ :D
